memories, quotes, thanksgiving!

Hey there everybody, it's Zoey here, back with yet another post! This one is about a memorible little anime: Fruits Basket! Here's the plot if you didn't know...
Orphan Tohru Honda bumps into the prince of her highschool, Yuki Sohma, and he discovers her little secret. Tohru just lost her mother, and is now living in a tent! But Yuki and his cousins: Shigure (dog), Kisa (Tiger), Momiji (Rabbit/Bunny), Hatsuharu (haru for short, Cow), Kagura (Boar), Ritsu (Monkey), Hatori (Dragon), and even Kyo (the cat) all have a secret aswell. Whenever they are hugged by a member of the oposite gender or are under much stress, the Sohmas transform into the 12 animals of the chinese zodiac, PLUS the cat (being Kyo). Will Tohru be able to live peacfully with the Yuki, Kyo, Shiguray, and the others, or will more secrets unravel to Tohru's dismay...?

So Yep! And in case you are wondering...
Yes, there probibly are more zodiaccs... i've only just started reading the manga (watched the anime 12 times)
No, not everyone in the Sohma family is cursed
Is there a God in the zodiac curse? yes, his/her (havn't figured that out yet) name is Akito, and he/she is aweful!
Do the members change back after transformation? Yes, they do, sadly, change back... naked.
Yes, there is only one season of fruits basket anime, Funimation tried to get a second one made, but failed.

Opening Lyrics:                           "I was so happy when you smiled.
Your smile breaks through the clouds of gray.
Far from the sunny days that lie in sleep.
Waiting with patience for the Spring,
When the flowers will bloom renued again.
Knowing there's more beyond the pain of today.
Although the scars of yesterday remain,
You can go on living as much as your heart believes.
You can be born again, although you can change.
Lets stay together, always."

Closing Lyrics:                            "Now, let's go together....
                                            Enjoying the company we share......
Our tears will dissolve into thin air......
As we drink up this wonderful life.....
La La La La La La.........
Taking in all this sweet love and life....
La La La La La La .........
Drinking up all this good love and life
La La La La La La........
Taking in all this sweet love and life....
                                                        Do Do Do Do Do
                                                           La Da Do Do"

Momiji's Song Lyrics:                                                                         "Who's in the forest strolling?

The birds and the bees sing Momiji.
The frogs in the pond are calling,
Momiji, yes its true!
The trees raise their leaves together,
Who needs the sun when we've got you?
Who's in the forest strolling?
The birds and the bees sing Momiji.
The frogs in the pond are calling,
                                                               Momiji, yes its true!"

Shigure's "Highschool Passion" Song Lyrics:
"High School Girls, High School Girls! All for me, High School Girls!"

Now comes a few of my favorite quotes!

"The part of a person that's remarkable is like the umeboshi on the back of a rice ball. All around the world, there are different colors, shapes, and flavors, but because it's stuck to the back, they might not be able to see their precious umeboshi. 'I'm not special,' each one would think, 'just plain ole rice.' Even though that's not true, and there is an umeboshi on the back. The reason people get jealous of one another is because they can see the umeboshi on other people's backs. Even now, someone might be feeling envious of something you don't recognize in yourself." - Tohru Honda (Laura Baily)

"When we are first born, all we know is how to want, we want food we want attention, natural instinct [I guess]. But kindness is something that we all have to learn as we go. It's something that grows and develops slowly over time... true kindness isn't something we are born with, it's something we have to work at, we have to mold it and shape it within ourselves, not everyone has it, but I think everyone has the potential." - Tohru Honda (Laura Baily)/ Kyoko Honda (Julie Mayfield)

And that's it! My fabulus Fruits Basket part of the post is over! But there is a bit more!

Now it's over! :) Have a Happy Thansgiving everyone! ~ ♥Zoey♦
